Unfortunately associated with jealousy, bitterness, hatred and curses. Commonly used in dark magic as a carrier or vehicle for a hex (often disguised as a gift to the afflicted party in the form of jewellery or a so-called 'charm'). However, when mounted in Gold it does not emit any energy or hold any influence over those nearby.
