Transparent; olive-green, yellow-green. Sometimes partly brown.

Common confusions......

Beryl, chrysoberyl, demantoid, diopside, moldavite, prasiolite, prehnite, sinhalite, emerald, tourmaline and idocrase.

Esoteric beliefs and associations...

Associated with the month of August, and with the Goddess Pele. The greener the stone, the greater its positive influence over matters of employment, money, growth and fertility.
